North Carolina Airspace

Drones are banned in all national parks. This includes Great Smoky Mountains National Park. In order to fly within range of medium to large airports, drone pilots will need specific authorization from the FAA. Charlotte and Raleigh are the busiest airports in North Carolina but there are others that will require a "COA" as well. Drone operators should check with multiple planning tools before taking flight.
