There are many MLSes to be familiar with if you plan to use a drone in real estate here. Realtors of Central Colorado(ROCC) is the largest and contains Denver. MLSes each have their own requirements for images and video, so drone photographers will need to be familiar with which MLSes control which counties. Colorado is no exception to airspace challenges. Much of Colorado lays within national parks. In fact, close to 68% of all forests here exist on federal land. It is against the law to fly drones in national parks. There are many airports in Colorado that will require authorization to fly near. Denver, Colorado Springs, Grand Junction, Aspen and Durango are the busiest. Drone pilots should check multiple flight planning tools before flying their drones.

State laws and local drone ordinances are popping up across the nation. In Colorado it is illegal to use a drone to aide in hunting. In Boulder you may not operate a drone in "Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks Land". Vail designates specific areas off-limits to recreational drone use.
